A new book, "Sisters in Death: The Black Dahlia, The Prairie Heiress and Their Hunter," connects the dots between the infamous Black Dahlia murder and another murder miles away. Emmy-nominated producer Eli Frankel spent over five years researching the case and has come up with new information that sheds light on the unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, a 22-year-old woman who was found dead in an undeveloped lot in Leimert Park in 1947.
The book, which is set to be released on October 28, reveals a never-before-shared key to the Black Dahlia murder and unmasks the criminal at the core of the case. Frankel drew on new documents, interviews with surviving participants of the case, and the victims' personal artifacts to come up with his conclusions.
Frankel's research led him to connect the murder of Elizabeth Short with the murder of Leila Welsh, an heiress living in Kansas City who was found murdered in her bedroom with signs of "unspeakable trauma."
Frankel says that he was intrigued by the story of Leila Welsh and decided to dive in and find out everything he could about the suspected killer. What he found was shocking - a pattern of violence, stalking, and various criminal acts including other possible murders."
The book is now available for preorder and will be published on October 28. This new information is sure to send shockwaves through the true crime community and shed new light on one of the most infamous unsolved murders in American history.
