Dick Van Dyke, the beloved actor and comedian, has a secret talent that not many fans know about - computer animation! His wife, Arlene Silver, revealed this lesser-known fact at a Vandy Camp event held at the Arlene & Dick Van Dyke Theater at Malibu High School on Saturday, June 28.

Silver, 53, responded to a fan's question about Van Dyke's computer animation skills, saying, "Still is!" The fan, who identified themselves as someone who does computer graphics, praised Van Dyke's work, saying he would visit their company to "inspire us that what we were doing was super cool."

Silver also revealed that Van Dyke has a credit for computer animation on the show "Diagnosis: Murder," which he starred in from 1993 to 2001. The series saw Van Dyke playing a medical doctor who solves crimes.

The fan also praised Van Dyke's iconic performance in "Mary Poppins," saying it was "such an important movie in the history of visual effects." Silver joked that Van Dyke said the scene where he danced with penguins was "really hot."

Silver went on to recall seeing a documentary about the making of "Mary Poppins," where choreographers Marc Breaux and Dee Dee Wood said Van Dyke was "moving so crazy beyond" what they'd planned that the animators "had to change the animation to go with his crazy legs."

Unfortunately, Van Dyke, 99, was unable to attend the event due to illness. Silver apologized to the audience, saying, "When you're 99 and a half years old, you have good days and bad days... and unfortunately, today is not a good day for him, and he's sick that he can't be here."

However, Silver is "pretty confident" that her husband will attend the next Vandy Camp event "in person."
