Alix Earle is ready to spill the ballroom tea as she joins Dancing with the Stars season 34. The 24-year-old influencer was announced as the second celebrity contestant joining the upcoming season of the competitive dance series and stopped by Good Morning America on Thursday, May 22 to celebrate her casting.
Earle revealed that she's "always been a fan" of the show, so it was "an easy yes" when she was offered a spot in the upcoming cast. She joins Robert Irwin, who was the first celebrity contestant announced last month.
"I'm ready to challenge myself, I think it's gonna be a lot of fun, so it was a very obvious answer to say yes," Earle said.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model also told GMA hosts Michael Strahan and Lara Spencer that she's planning to "vlog" her experience on the series — and is down to give her fans a look at all the backstage secrets.
"As someone who was glued to the TV last year with Dancing with the Stars and on social media, I'm like, give me the drama, what's the tea, who's dating, I wanna know," she said of last year's starry season, which produced notable off-stage drama as partners Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko started dating. "So I'm excited to see it in real life and be able to share it."
She added, "I'll be the inside scoop."
Earle's dance experience will also come in handy as she joins the ballroom in the fall. "I danced when I was little until my sophomore year of high school," she said on GMA. "It wasn't like I was that great or anything but... I would like to say I have some rhythm."
Still, she's "never done ballroom dancing or dancing with a partner before, so that's gonna be a whole new venture for me," she said. "[I'm] excited to get back in there and get training."
She also played coy when asked who she would like as her dancing partner. "I would be grateful to be with anyone," she said.
Earle said she's "just looking for a partner that's gonna be a good time, a good friend and really push me to be my best."
