Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Robertson family and star of the hit reality TV series Duck Dynasty, has passed away at the age of 79. The news was shared by his daughter-in-law, Korie Robertson, on Facebook on May 25, 2025.

Korie shared a heartfelt message, saying, "We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord." She went on to express gratitude for the love and prayers of those whose lives were impacted by Phil's life, and announced that a private service would be held, with details of a public celebration of his life to be shared soon.

Phil's family had previously revealed in December 2024 that he had been diagnosed with the disease. Despite his health struggles, Phil continued to inspire and entertain audiences with his bold personality and unwavering faith.

Phil Robertson's legacy will be remembered through his appearances on Duck Dynasty, as well as his advocacy for his Christian faith. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans around the world.
