Shakira's recent concert in Montreal, Quebec, took an unexpected turn when the singer slipped and fell on stage during her performance of "Whenever, Wherever".

The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 20, at the Bell Centre, where Shakira is currently on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour. Despite the mishap, Shakira gracefully got back up and continued her performance, earning praise from fans who commended her resilience.

Fan-captured footage on X shows Shakira swaying on stage, about to start singing the first verse of "Whenever, Wherever", when she suddenly lost her balance and fell sideways on the ground. However, she quickly stood up and continued her performance.

Following the incident, Shakira shared the fall on her now-expired Instagram, which was captured by fans on X. Fans were quick to praise Shakira's ability to quickly recover from the mishap, with one user writing, "she handled it like the boss that she is."

This isn't the first time Shakira has experienced a mishap on her current tour. In February, she was hospitalized for an "abdominal issue" and had to cancel one of her concerts in Peru.

Shakira is set to perform in cities including Toronto, Miami, Houston, and San Diego before concluding the North American leg of the tour on June 30 in San Francisco.
