The Indiana Fever announced on Monday that Caitlin Clark will be out for a minimum of two weeks due to a left quadriceps strain suffered during the Fever's 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty on Saturday.

Clark, 23, had a dominant game against the Liberty, finishing with 18 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds despite the loss.

Fever fans were devastated by the news, with one fan writing, "CAITLIN TAKE MY LEFT LEG I DONT NEED IT," while another fan shared a more positive response, writing, "Next man up! We got an all around team & be good. CC you will be missed but take time to heal physically & mentally."

Clark's injury comes just after the reigning rookie of the year received a major compliment from NBA superstar LeBron James. James dedicated a post to wishing Clark luck in her sophomore season, captioning the photos, "Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!! @caitlinclark22; 🙏🏾💪🏾🫡👑."

The Indiana Fever will travel to take on the Washington Mystics on Wednesday, May 28, without Clark.
