Megan Hilty, the Tony-nominated star of Death Becomes Her, has revealed that she stopped getting Botox and fillers "years ago." The 44-year-old actress made the admission in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, where she opened up about the pressures of looking perfect and how her role in the Broadway show has changed her perspective.
The Potion of Eternal Youth
In the Tony-nominated show, Death Becomes Her, Madeline Ashton drinks a magical potion that gives her youth and beauty. However, in real life, Hilty is not falling for the same gimmicks. "Don't do it, girl!" she tells PEOPLE, adding that she's "learned to be okay" with herself "no matter what stage" in her life she's currently living.
Hilty's character, Madeline, has taught her that women torture themselves in the quest for perfection, which doesn't exist. Through her song "Falling Apart" every night, Hilty has realized that she doesn't need to keep doing Botox and fillers. "It's thrown a lot into question for me," she says.
A Tony-Nominated Performance
Hilty earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Madeline in the show. The show scored 10 total nominations, including one for Jennifer Simard, who is also up for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.
The 2025 Tony Awards air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 8, on CBS.
