Kaya Scodelario Reunites with Skins Co-Stars in Mini Reunion: 'Y2K 4EVA'

Kaya Scodelario still has a lot of love for her Skins castmates. The actress, 33, shared a photo on Instagram on Saturday, June 7, where she poses with Ollie Barbieri, Kathryn and Megan Prescott, and Klariza Clayton. The group was celebrating the Prescotts' birthday.

Scodelario wrote, "Happy birthday Meg & Kat… the last time we were together we were all a lil bit younger, little bit dumber & hadn't had the pleasure of waking up with sore knees… love you all xx Y2K 4 EVA."

Fans in the comments were thrilled to see a bit of the cast together again. The British teen drama aired from 2007 to 2013. Skins followed a group of teens in England, touching on similar tropes as U.S. teen dramas: drugs, sex, finding oneself, and more.

In December, another Skins alum, Dev Patel, opened up about his relationship with the beloved teen drama at this point in his career.

Patel joked, "Skins was like — oh boy, it's kind of like the little rash that won't go away." He corrected himself, saying, "No, no, no. Look, man, it was amazing. You look at the guys that have come out of that — Nick Hoult, Kaya Scodelario — it's really amazing."

The Oscar nominee made it clear he's thankful for what the opportunity afforded him.

While it may not be his favorite era of his career, Patel said, "Without it, there would be no me in Slumdog [Millionaire], without Danny Boyle's daughter being a fan of Skins. All of these things, even up until Monkey Man, they're lily pads."
