Ariana Biermann is speaking out about her 2022 DUI arrest, weeks after reaching a plea deal to close the years-long case.
The reality star, 23, appeared on the June 9 episode of Gia Giudice's iHeartRadio podcast, where she maintained her innocence and explained her decision to agree to a plea. "I hate that this is all surfacing right now," she said. "I didn't do it, and I was never gonna take any deal or do anything. I denied so many of them because I was like, 'No. I didn't do this. I'm fighting this.'"
Biermann explained that she decided to accept the plea deal because she wanted to move on with her life. "They offered me this in August, and I said, you know what? I'll take it. So whatever. Move on."
As part of the plea deal, Biermann pleaded guilty/no contest to reckless driving and possession of drug-related objects. She was also sentenced to two years probation, 40 hours of community service, and has been ordered to abstain from consuming alcoholic beverages or drugs.
Biermann joked about having to give up wine, saying, "I am literally gonna have a damn six pack." Giudice agreed, saying that Biermann would get in the "sickest shape of her life."
Biermann's arrest in August 2022 made headlines after she was involved in a minor fender bender, and an officer smelled alcohol on her breath. She denied drinking, but admitted to smoking a THC vape pen the night before, which was recovered from her bag at the scene.
At the time, her attorney Justin Spizman, of Hawkins Spizman law firm, told PEOPLE that Biermann denied any wrongdoing.
