Golf fans are enjoying the ride as Scottie Scheffler breaks records on the course. At the CJ Cup Byron Nelson tournament last month, VIPs experienced exclusive perks, including special viewing areas, free food and beverage, and even personal golf carts.

The 28-year-old golfer tied a PGA Tour record for the lowest score in a 72-hole event at -31 and achieved the largest winning margin in five years.

A limited number of 150 patrons paid $6,000 to enjoy the tournament with the 1968 Club, which provided access to VIP viewing spaces, personal golf carts, and opportunities to interact with players. The package also included a special meet-and-greet with Trisha Yearwood.

Jon Drago, tournament director at Salesmanship Club of Dallas, told PEOPLE, "Delivering a truly exclusive experience sets The CJ Cup Byron Nelson apart from all other sports and event opportunities."

As the U.S. Open tees off this weekend, fans can enjoy an "elevated experience" with a $279 ticket, offering patrons access to exclusive bars, unlimited food, and seating options.

Meanwhile, golfers also receive special gifts, in addition to prize money. At the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth over Memorial Day weekend, Scheffler finished fourth and missed out on taking home his own trophy of sorts. Each year, the title sponsor gives the winner a custom car, with this year's Champion's Prize being a 1992 Schwab Defender, which Ben Griffin proudly drove off with, along with his first solo win on the PGA Tour.
