Brittany Renner Walks Solo on 2025 BET Awards Red Carpet Two Days After Announcing Divorce

Brittany Renner, the star of "Basketball Wives," made a solo appearance on the BET Awards red carpet on June 9, 2025, just two days after announcing her divorce from rapper Kevin Gates.

In a June 7 interview with Los Angeles radio station REAL 92.3 LA, Renner revealed that she and Gates had divorced on May 28, after just 52 days of marriage. She told the outlet, "We got married April 6 and divorced May 28."

Despite the news of their marriage ending, Renner told fans that "all is well" and that she didn't consider it to be a "sucky situation because what is meant to be is always going to be."

Renner also said that she had no regrets about their relationship, stating, "I followed my heart and that's what more than most people can say, and I think when you do that, you get all the clarity you need and there's no stone left unturned and there's no regret."

On the red carpet, Renner wore a brown khimar and a long, rose-colored dress with black and gold accents, accessorizing with a metallic belt.

Renner's appearance at the BET Awards comes after she previously raved about her romance with Gates, telling PEOPLE he was who she "quite literally dreamed of."

Renner and Gates married on April 6 and announced their divorce on May 28. Prior to her relationship with Gates, Renner was involved with Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington, with whom she shares a 4-year-old son.
