Kevin Hart Jokes About Kanye West, Diddy and Cardi B During 2025 BET Awards Opening Monologue

Kevin Hart brought the laughs as he hosted the 2025 BET Awards at the Peacock Theater on Monday, June 9. During his opening monologue, Hart took jabs at Kanye West, Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Cardi B, referencing recent controversies surrounding them.

Hart began by joking about the afterparties, "Take your asses home after this; that's why I did this on a Monday. People gotta go to work tomorrow." He then alluded to Diddy's alleged sex parties, saying, "That's where s--- gets slippery, at them goddamn afterparties. We're learning a lot about people, ain't we?"

Hart also made a joke about Cardi B, referencing her boyfriend Stefon Diggs' viral video on a yacht, saying, "No yachts, no boats. Cardi B, no pink stuff. What the f---, none of that stuff. Everybody's gonna get hit tonight. We're live. It's gonna be a good time."

Later in his monologue, Hart made a joke about Kanye West, referencing the new movie Sinners. He pretended to check a text message from Kanye," "Oh sh--, it's Kanye. Yep, he says he's out front, he's waiting for somebody to invite him in." Hart then quipped, "We all saw Sinners, don't let his ass in here, so he could fight somebody, so he can fight Playboi Carti again, okay?"
