Cameron Woodall, a 26-year-old former standout basketball player, died on Saturday, June 7, in an ATV crash near his home in Raymond, Miss. Woodall collided with another rider, and local authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Woodall was a star basketball player in high school, leading the Raymond High School basketball team to back-to-back state championships in 2017 and 2018. He later played college basketball at several schools, including Grambling State and Tougaloo College, where he was twice as a Second Team All-Gulf Coast Athletic Conference player.

Woodall's former college, Tougaloo College, remembered him as a player who left an "impact extended far beyond basketball." The school said in a statement, "He was a friend, a brother, and a true Bulldog through and through. We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him."
A memorial service for Woodall will be held on Thursday, June 12.
Woodall had dreams of making it to the NBA so he could give back to the local community. He wanted to build gyms and give kids a chance to showcase their talent, and help poor people get off the streets.
