WNBA star Cameron Brink has called out a commenter who accused her of putting more effort into attending social events than working on her recovery from an ACL injury.
The 23-year-old took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 9, to address the comment, which speculated that she would have been back playing basketball by now if she put as much work into it as she does into "walking down red carpets and schmoozing."
Brink posted a screenshot of the comment and responded, "I'm working INCREDIBLY hard every day. I would give anything to be out on the court right now. Basketball is my passion and everything to me...to say this you aren't a real fan."
She added, "Thank you to those who understand ACLs can take a year & giving me grace. I cannot wait until I get to play again."
Brink suffered the ACL injury in June, which cut short her rookie season with the LA Sparks. She has been working hard to get back to the game, but it's clear that she's not taking any criticism lying down.

Brink has been open about her struggles with her injury, posting an emotional message on Instagram after it happened. "You never think it will happen to you," she wrote. "And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger."
Brink's WNBA teammates, including Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, A'ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart, have all shown their support for her on social media.
It's clear that Brink is working hard to get back to the court, and she won't let anyone's negativity bring her down.
