The Young and the Restless star Conner Floyd is set to join Days of Our Lives as the new Chad DiMera, following Billy Flynn's departure from the role after more than a decade. Floyd will first appear as Chad on April 21, 2026.
Floyd, who has played Phillip "Chance" Chancellor IV on The Young and the Restless since 2021, shared the news on Instagram, writing, "See y'all in Salem!" He even got the approval of Flynn, who wrote via Instagram Stories, "Congrats @connergfloyd! Chad is in great hands. You're gonna crush it man."
Flynn announced his departure from Days of Our Lives in March and revealed he would be joining The Young and the Restless. He has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards for his role as Chad.
Floyd began taping on Monday, June 23, but fans will have to wait until April 21, 2026, to see him as Chad in his first episode. The official Instagram account for Days of Our Lives shared a photo of Floyd outside his dressing room.

Flynn, who first joined Days of Our Lives in 2014, made his debut on The Young and the Restless as the mysterious business tycoon Aristotle Dumas on June 19. However, his true identity was revealed to be that of Cane Ashby, a character previously played by Daniel Goddard from 2007 to 2019.
