Alicia Hannah-Kim Accuses Cobra Kai Co-Star Martin Kove of Assault at Fan Convention

Alicia Hannah-Kim, a co-star of Martin Kove on the Netflix series Cobra Kai, has accused him of simple assault at a fan convention in Washington on Sunday, June 22.

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, Hannah-Kim, 37, claims that Kove, 78, grabbed her arm and bit her upper arm so hard it nearly drew blood, causing her to yell out in pain. The incident allegedly occurred when Hannah-Kim tapped Kove on the shoulder to greet him at their booth at Summer Con.

The police report alleges that Kove then grabbed Hannah-Kim's arm again and began kissing it where he had bitten her. Hannah-Kim's husband, Sebastian Roche, confronted Kove, who allegedly "exploded on them" and insisted that he did not do anything wrong.

Hannah-Kim then found an on-site law enforcement officer, who confirmed that she had a noticeable bite mark on her arm that was already turning blue and bruising. When questioned by the officer, Kove allegedly admitted to biting Hannah-Kim, saying he did it out of jest and thought it was funny.

Hannah-Kim expressed her upset and informed Kove that his actions had caused her legitimate pain. The officer and Hannah-Kim told Kove that his actions were illegal and would not be tolerated in the future. Kove allegedly said he did not mean for it to be perceived as illegal and reiterated that he was just messing around.

Ultimately, Hannah-Kim decided not to press charges but privately requested an official report "in case this continues." She and her husband signed affidavits and were given a case number.

The officer further claims that Kove and his son thanked him but declined to write a voluntary handwritten statement. They were escorted out of Summer Con at the discretion of the Cobra Kai producer present at the venue.
