Legendary actress and singer Barbra Streisand is not pleased with her previous salary for her role in the 'Meet the Parents' franchise and is demanding a higher pay for a potential return in the fourth installment.

In a recent interview with Variety's Just for Variety podcast, Streisand, 83, expressed her frustration over being paid less than her co-stars in the 2004 film 'Meet the Fockers' and 2010's 'Little Fockers'. When asked if she would reprise her role as Roz Focker in the upcoming fourth film, Streisand stated, "Oh my God. They'd have to pay me a lot of money because I didn't get paid what the other people got paid and so I'm pissed off."

Streisand attributed the pay disparity to the era in which she worked, saying, "I was in the time when women were getting paid less than the men." However, she did mention that the head of Universal at the time, Ron Meyer, sent her a bonus check, which she appreciated.

The fourth 'Meet the Parents' film is scheduled to release in 2026, with Ariana Grande joining the cast alongside returning stars Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo. Streisand's last film appearance was in 2012's 'The Guilt Trip', and she has been selective about her projects since then.

When asked about other offers she receives, Streisand mentioned that she gets many "funny offers," but one project that caught her attention was a script sent by Guillermo del Toro, which she liked but is not ready to direct again.

For now, it remains to be seen if Streisand will return to the 'Meet the Parents' franchise, but one thing is certain – she will not settle for anything less than what she deserves.
