BTS fans, rejoice! Jin, one of the septet's members, has opened up about his imminent reunion with his bandmates during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The K-pop star expressed his excitement to work with his bandmates again, describing them as "lifesavers."
The reunion comes after the members of BTS took a break from releasing group projects to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea. During this time, individual members released solo projects.
Jin, 32, is gearing up to reunite with Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, j-hope, and RM as they finish their military service. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of new music from the septet, as they haven't dropped a full group project since 2022.
In the meantime, Jin has been busy with his solo projects. He recently dropped his second solo album, Echo, and is gearing up to embark on a solo tour.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show, Jin said that he was looking forward to working with the rest of the band again and was prepared to "take care of them."
- "It was great to be alone. But when they come back, since they worked very hard, I'm going to honor them and give them great respect," he told Jimmy Fallon.
- "They are my lifesavers, so I need to show them my appreciation and take care of them."

Jin was the first member of BTS to join the military in South Korea, doing so in late 2022. He completed his service in June 2024, and his debut solo album, Happy, followed that November.
Speaking to Fallon, Jin explained how his debut differed from his sophomore project, noting that Happy was released "shortly after I returned from my military service," saying, "I was just starting to explore my emotions."
"For this album Echo, I was able to capture my feelings better," he explained.

The album includes songs such as his single "Don't Say You Love Me," which Jin performed on the late-night show with the support of a live band.
Wearing a jean jacket with jeweled embellishments on the collar, he performed the song in front of a background of a city while standing on a massive bed.
"Army are always welcome to say they love me," he teased Fallon in reference to the song's title.
The performance also gave fans a glimpse at what they should expect when Jin embarks on his tour.
His tour starts in South Korea with a performance on June 28 and runs through August. He'll play his last show in Amsterdam on Aug. 10.

He joked with Fallon about what they would be treated to, saying, "You can expect my good... I mean, my 'not so bad' vocals. But on top of that, you can look forward to seeing my handsome face up close."
While on The Tonight Show, Jin also took a turn in the host's seat, questioning Fallon on what it's like being famous.
