Hoda Kotb has opened up about the emotional moment her daughters Haley and Hope saw her latest PEOPLE cover.
The 60-year-old former Today show anchor revealed that her daughters were overcome with emotion when they saw the cover, saying, "I mean, both of my girls were crying. It was amazing. It was a perfect moment. I loved it so much. I loved everything about it," Kotb told PEOPLE exclusively at the launch of her wellness platform Joy 101.
Kotb, who appeared on the cover with her daughters Haley Joy, 8, and Hope Catherine, 5, was a moment she will cherish forever. "That was such a beautiful picture. I literally saw the cover and almost wept."
The launch event, held at Current at Chelsea Piers in New York City, was attended by Kotb's former Today co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager, as well as her former costars Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, and Dylan Dreyer. Gayle King also joined the launch event to celebrate Kotb's new venture.

In her PEOPLE cover story, Kotb opened up about her daughter Hope's health journey, revealing that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2023. "It's kind of constant care for Hope. We're monitoring her 24/7," Kotb said, calling her daughter a "trouper" for the way she is coping with medical treatment.
