The original Broadway cast of Hamilton is heading back to the stage for a show-stopping reunion at the 78th annual Tony Awards. In celebration of the revolutionary musical's 10th anniversary, more than two dozen members of the original cast — including creator Lin-Manuel Miranda as well as Leslie Odom, Jr., Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, and Ariana DeBose — will be back together again for a special performance during the live broadcast on Sunday, June 8.

Participating alongside the aforementioned actors in the landmark number will also be Carleigh Bettiol, Andrew Chappelle, Alysha Deslorieux, Sydney James Harcourt, Neil Haskell, Sasha Hutchings, Thayne Jasperson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Stephanie Klemons, Morgan Marcell, Javier Muñoz, Okieriete Onaodowan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Seth Stewart, Betsy Struxness, Ephraim Sykes, and Voltaire Wade-Greene.

It's unclear what song from the musical the cast will be singing. For their official performance at the 2016 Tony Awards, the same stars delivered a mashup of "History Has Its Eyes on You" and "Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)".

They later returned to the stage — after winning 11 awards, including Best Musical and acting trophies for Odom, Jr., Diggs, and Goldsberry — for a closing number, slivered from a portion of "The Schuyler Sisters."

Hamilton officially opened on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Aug. 6, 2015.

Written and composed by Miranda with direction by Thomas Kail, the musical — which blends hip-hop, R&B, and traditional musical theater to tell the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton — was an immediate sensation, and has remained one of the hottest tickets on Broadway.

More than that, Hamilton became a cultural phenomenon, credited with bringing new audiences to Broadway, spotlighting a diverse cast in the telling of American history and helping ignite broader conversations about race, politics, and representation in the arts.

Standout numbers like "My Shot," "The Room Where It Happens," "Wait for It," "You'll Be Back," "Satisfied," and "It's Quiet Uptown" have since become musical theater staples.

Productions have popped up all over the world, too, including in London's West End and in multiple tours across the United States. The original cast was even featured in a filmed version of the stage production, streaming now on Disney+.

This year's Tony Awards ceremony will once again be held at New York City's iconic Radio City Music Hall. Tony, Emmy, and GRAMMY-winning performer Cynthia Erivo will host.

The show will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Ahead of that broadcast, Darren Criss and Goldsberry will co-host The Tony Awards: Act One, a live pre-show streaming for free on Pluto TV starting at 6:40 p.m. ET.

And the Tonys won't just be the only celebration for Hamilton's 10th anniversary. Odom, Jr. is marking the moment by reprising his Tony-winning role as Aaron Burr in a special 12-week engagement beginning Sept. 9 and running through Nov. 23.

"Returning to Hamilton is a deeply meaningful homecoming," Odom, Jr. said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "I'm so grateful for the chance to step back into the room — especially during this anniversary moment — and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many."
