The popular CW series, All American, is coming to an end with an eighth and final season, which is set to air in 2026, the network announced on June 2. The final season will feature "13 new episodes bringing generations of Crenshaw and Beverly together for a powerful conclusion," according to a press release.

The show's executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll reflected on the show's legacy and shared her gratitude to the show's cast, crew, and fans.

"It is so hard to say goodbye to the thing that you love, but we are so excited we get to do it in the way we envisioned with this final season," Carroll said in a statement.

The final season comes less than a year after Daniel Ezra, the star of the show, decided to move on from All American as a series regular after six seasons on the show.

Ezra said in a statement, "After making the difficult decision to leave All American, my sole focus became completing the journey of the most life-affirming character I've ever played in the manner he deserves."

The CW show, which premiered in 2018 and led to the spin-off All American: Homecoming, followed Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), a star high school football player from South Crenshaw High School who makes a transfer to Beverly Hills High after he's recruited by the team's coach, Billy Baker (Taye Diggs).

Brad Schwartz, President of The CW Network, called All American "one of the greatest CW shows of all time" in a statement, adding, "we are honored to bring it back for one final season to give fans a chance to say a meaningful goodbye to these inspiring characters and this incredible world."

Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks, shared, "Since the moment All American kicked off, the audience fell in love with these characters and their heartfelt stories. Season 7 provided a rare opportunity to keep this world for the fans while introducing new characters alongside some beloved favorites."
