Bryan Cranston, the acclaimed actor known for his iconic roles in Breaking Bad and more, is over the moon about his daughter Taylor Dearden's star turn on the Max medical drama The Pitt.
"There is nothing that's more gratifying than when your kid receives praise. Nothing," Cranston told the Associated Press, gushing about his 32-year-old daughter's latest role.
Cranston, who has won numerous awards for his work, including six Emmys, two Golden Globes, and two Tonys, revealed that he and his wife, Robin Dearden, a fellow actor, are beaming with pride over their daughter's breakthrough performance as Dr. Melissa "Mel" King on The Pitt, which has already been renewed for a second season.

Dearden, who made her acting debut in a 2010 episode of Breaking Bad alongside her dad, has been acting for years, starring in TV shows like Sweet/Vicious, American Vandal, and For All Mankind, as well as films like Heartthrob and The Last Champion.
On The Pitt, Dearden plays Dr. Melissa King, a second-year resident who works closely with doctors like Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) and Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle), while also looking after her autistic twin sister, Becca.
Cranston spoke about his daughter's passion for acting, saying, "She's a very hard-working person. She grew up in it, so it's in her bones. She's in it for the right reasons and she loves it."
As for advice, Cranston revealed that he doesn't offer unsolicited tips, saying, "But I don't ever say, 'Now, young lady, here's some advice I wanna give you.' Kids don't wanna hear that."
Instead, Cranston believes that his daughter picks up advice by observing how he navigates the industry.
