Kelsea Ballerini Gushes Over Relationship with 'Good Human' Noah Kahan: 'He's Just a Joy'

Kelsea Ballerini has nothing but admiration for her close friend and collaborator Noah Kahan, calling him a "good human" in a recent conversation.

The 31-year-old artist expressed her adoration for Kahan, saying "I adore Noah" in an exclusive chat with PEOPLE during CMA Fest 2025. She also discussed her partnership with Celsius, a beverage she claims is essential for her energy boosts.

Ballerini's love for Celsius, which she lovingly dubs "Kelsius," even led to her becoming the brand's newest ambassador. As for Kahan, Ballerini gushed, "He's just a joy to be on stage with. And yeah, I really adore him."

The "Patterns" creator praised Kahan, saying, "He has that 'I'm just happy to be here' mentality, which I love." Their collaborative performance at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest 2025, where they duetted "Cowboys Cry Too" and Kahan's "Stick Season," left Ballerini grateful for Kahan's last-minute agreement to perform.

Ballerini recalled convincing Kahan to perform at CMA Fest, saying, "I almost felt like I didn't want to bother him." However, after some persuasion, Kahan agreed to perform, and Ballerini was thrilled to have him on stage.

When asked about their collaborative performance, Ballerini said, "It's funny because for CMA fest, we've done so much together and I've called in to ask him to do the Variety [Power of Women] event with me and all this stuff. So I almost felt like I didn't want to bother him."

As for their hit song "Cowboys Cry Too," Ballerini previously praised the "Dial Drunk" singer, writing on Instagram, "thank you @noahkahanmusic for adding your uninhibited perspective and songwriting brilliance into this song. (LIKE CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SECOND VERSE YALL?!?) i couldn't be more proud to put this music and message out alongside such a lovely artist and friend."
