Beloved Food Network star Anne Burrell had discussed appearing on Meghan Markle's Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, just weeks before her death. In an April 2025 interview with the Daily Mail, Burrell expressed her interest in cooking with the Duchess of Sussex on the show.
"Sure, of course. I'd go to the opening of an envelope," she agreed with a laugh. "Why not cook with Meghan?"
However, Burrell admitted that she was "not really a jam girl," referring to Meghan's famous jam, which is a centerpiece of her lifestyle brand, Archewell. "I'm not really a jam girl," Burrell said. "Occasionally, I make them for my husband. I make scones and we have jam then. Other than that, I wouldn't say I'm super jammy."
Burrell passed away on June 17 at her home in Brooklyn, New York, leaving behind her husband, Stuart Claxton, and her family.
The celebrity chef was known for hosting The Worst Cooks in America and was a frequent guest star on many other programs. Her family described her as a "beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered."
With Love, Meghan will return for its second season this fall, featuring a new group of the Duchess' favorite famous foodies, including Chrissy Teigen and José Andrés.
