A 911 call has revealed that the author and public speaker's friend had been trying to get her help for weeks" before she was taken to a hospital by police.
In the audio of the 911 call, obtained by PEOPLE, the unnamed friend said that Kelley had been experiencing an escalating mental health crisis" but was "very anti getting help".
The caller reported that she had resisted their past attempts to intervene, and that there had been multiple 911 calls to the authorities from the Wolfs' home in the last month.
The friend described an alleged incident involving Kelley at the Sundance Resort, saying she "created a disturbance in the restaurant" and "threw herself on the ground" before security got involved.
Kelley was later detained by authorities and taken to a hospital, where she was admitted after making "concerning comments" to a family member and the deputies.
Kelley also uploaded a video to her Instagram profile capturing the moment that police officers arrived to take her to the hospital.
In the video, Kelley said "Oh my God. Don't. Oh my God, this is not happening" and told the officers, "This is shameful, gentlemen".
Kelley later shared a photo on her Instagram Stories shortly after her Instagram Live, showing her belongings in what appeared to be a hospital room.
Kelley wrote "I have been taken against my will. Please check on my kids" and "Also… I am happy!! Happier than I have ever been."
