Ringo Starr Defends Son Zak Starkey Against The Who's Roger Daltrey amid Drama
Ringo Starr, the legendary drummer of The Beatles, has defended his son Zak Starkey, amid drama surrounding his departure from The Who. In a recent interview, Zak shared his father's words of support, saying, "I'm very proud of him standing up for me."
The drama began in April when it was announced that Zak and The Who were parting ways after nearly 30 years together. However, just days later, Pete Townshend said that Zak was not leaving the band, citing "communication issues" that needed to be dealt with. Despite this, in May, the band announced that he was leaving again, with Zak claiming that he was fired and asked to say he quit.
Ringo Starr reportedly didn't mince words when standing up for his son. According to Zak, Ringo said, "I've never liked the way that little man runs that band," seemingly referring to Roger Daltrey, the frontman of The Who.
