Published: June 27, 2025

As June comes to a close, the summer of blockbusters and streaming hits is just getting started. This weekend, June 28-29, we've got two major movies coming to theaters and seven streaming picks, including the latest seasons of two of Netflix and Hulu's biggest shows.

New Movies in Theaters

  • F1: This Formula 1 racing movie, starring Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a washed-up racer, and Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce, a talented rookie, gives a never-before-seen close look at the training and machinations behind the sport. Released in theaters on June 27.
  • M3GAN 2.0: Everyone's favorite robot killer is back to slay in the sequel to the 2022 horror movie. This time, M3GAN isn't all bad - she just really, really wants to protect her creator, Gemma's (Allison Williams) niece, Cady (Violet McGraw). Released in theaters on June 27.

New Streaming Shows and Movies

  • Squid Game season 3: Netflix's biggest show is back for one last season, and it's just as gory and terrifying as its previous iterations. Picking up after that shocking season 2 cliffhanger, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) finds himself at his lowest point yet.
  • The Bear season 4: Yes, chef! Give us your refrigerator breakdowns, delicacy dishes, and bubbling angst - every second counts, and we are seated and ready to watch The Bear season 4 on Hulu.
  • Countdown: Move aside FBI, CSI, and Law & Order: there's a new cop show in town, and this time it's set in Los Angeles. Watch Countdown on Prime Video.
  • Trainwreck: Poop Cruise: Yeah, this is just as crazy as it sounds - and the details are even poopier (pun very much intended). Watch Trainwreck: Poop Cruise on Netflix.
  • My Mom Jayne: You know her as Olivia Benson, Law & Order: SVU's iconic detective, but Hargitay is also the daughter of another Hollywood legend: Jayne Mansfield. Watch My Mom Jayne on Max.
  • Ironheart: If you thought you'd seen the last of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, you were mistaken. The Iron Man protégé is back, and this time, she wants to build something "iconic." Watch the first three episodes of Ironheart on Disney+.
  • Smoke: These aren't your run-of-the-mill firefighters - Taron Egerton's Dave Gudsen and Jurnee Smollett's Michelle Calderone are dealing with something much more sinister: arson. Watch Smoke on Apple TV+.
