Harrison Ford Talks Miley Cyrus Out of Intimate 'Somewhere Beautiful' Tour

Miley Cyrus has revealed that Harrison Ford advised her to reconsider her original tour concept for her forthcoming album, "Something Beautiful". The 32-year-old pop star had planned an intimate setup called "Somewhere Beautiful" but Ford's feedback led her to rethink her idea.

Cyrus shared the story on Apple Music 1's "The Zane Lowe Show", explaining that she had shown Ford a PDF of her concepts for "Something Beautiful" after he asked what she was working on. Ford, 82, questioned the logistics of setting up a crew in a forest, pointing out that it looked "expensive". Cyrus took his feedback seriously and decided to scrap the idea.

Instead, Cyrus explained that the film component of "Something Beautiful" is her "way of touring". She plans to release the film in theaters, allowing fans to experience her performance without her having to tax herself with a traditional tour.

In the same interview, Cyrus revealed that she may have fibbed to her godmother, Dolly Parton, about writing two new songs for "Something Beautiful". She had told Parton that she had written a song called "More to Lose", but hadn't actually written it yet. Cyrus gave herself a deadline to write the song and worked with her songwriting partner, Michael Pollack, to get it done.
