Julia Michaels is singing the praises of her friend and collaborator Maren Morris, calling her "truly one of the most wonderful women I've ever met in the music industry."

In a recent episode of PEOPLE in 10, Michaels, 31, gushed about Morris, 35, saying she's "down to earth, humble, kind, and a girl's girl, always rooting for people that she loves."

Michaels and Morris have collaborated on three projects, including their latest single "Scissors," which was released in January. They also performed together at Coachella in April.

Morris is known for her kind heart, and Michaels expects that her last text to her was a message of encouragement and praise following their joint performance at Coachella.

Morris and Michaels have a long history of collaboration, including their song "Cut!" from Michaels' EP Intermission, and "Circles Around This Town," the lead single from Morris' album Humble Quest.

Morris has described "Circles Around This Town" as a "cathartic release that doesn't require secrecy, but there are worldly expectations to keep it together despite your feelings."
