Sabrina Carpenter has responded to a comment on X that questioned if she has a personality outside of sex. This comes after the singer shared the artwork for her upcoming album, Man's Best Friend.

Carpenter, 26, responded to the comment, saying "girl yes and it is goooooood." The singer had announced the release of her seventh studio album, alongside its cover art, on June 11. The album is set to be released on August 29.

In her June cover story with Rolling Stone, Carpenter spoke about the mixed reactions she received for her song "Juno" and her performance of it on her Short n' Sweet tour. She said, "It's always so funny to me when people complain," and added, "Clearly you love sex. You're obsessed with it. It's in my show."

Sabrina Carpenter's Response to Criticism

Carpenter explained that her performance of "Juno" doesn't solely contain sexual positions, but that's the portion of the show that causes online chatter. She said, "There's so many more moments than the 'Juno' positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on," and added, "I can't control that. If you come to the show, you'll [also] hear the ballads, you'll hear the more introspective numbers."

Carpenter also explained the importance of not taking those headlines seriously, saying "I find irony and humor in all of that, because it seems to be a recurring theme. I'm not upset about it, other than I feel mad pressure to be funny sometimes."
