Kacey Musgraves has been forced to reschedule her upcoming show at Sing for Science in Nashville after breaking her rib from an "extremely hard fall" in Mexico.
The country star, 36, took to Instagram Stories on Friday, June 20, to share the news with her fans, revealing that she had broken her sixth rib after slipping on slick tile while running to grab towels.
"I'm in Mexico with a f------ broken rib," Musgraves wrote, sharing an X-ray of her torso. "Wednesday night it was raining and I was running to grab some towels and had an extremely hard fall on some very slick tile I didn't see. Thankful I didn't smack my head but I landed very hard on my back left ribcage and broke rib number six."
The "Cardinal" singer revealed that she was in a lot of pain and doing anything was extremely difficult, but she's managing and being well taken care of.

Musgraves also announced that she would need to reschedule her performance at Sing for Science in Nashville, which was supposed to take place on Sunday.
"There is no physical way I can get on a plane and fly back to Nashville for the Sing for Science event," Musgraves wrote. "I'm extremely bummed about needing to reschedule because I had been looking forward to this for months. But there's literally no other option."
The rescheduled event will take place on September 18, and tickets for the original June 22 event will be honored for the new date. Fans have up to 30 days if they can't make it to the new date.
