Jay-Z made a surprise appearance during his wife Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour in Paris on Sunday, June 22. The rap mogul took the stage alongside Beyoncé to perform "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love," which they remixed with "Partition."
However, the highlight of the show came when Jay-Z performed "N----- in Paris" from his 2011 joint album with Kanye West, Watch the Throne. According to fan-captured footage, Jay-Z changed up one of the lyrics about West, replacing "Ye" with a reference to his wife Beyoncé.
Instead of rapping "Gold bottles, scold models, Spillin' Ace on my sick J's / Ball so hard, bitch, behave / Just might let you meet Ye," Jay-Z rapped, "Gold bottles, scold models, Spillin' Ace on my sick J's / Ball so hard, bitch, behave / Just might let you meet Bey."

The lyric change comes three months after West shared a jarring post on X about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 7½-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. In his since-deleted post, West wrote, "WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCE'S YOUNGER KIDS," before using offensive language and taking aim at Rumi and Sir's mental capabilities.
West later took down his tweet about Rumi and Sir, citing the "possibility" of his X account getting shut down. He also admitted to feeling "bad" about the initial post.
Over the years, West has come under fire for making repeated antisemitic comments and homophobic posts to his X account.
Beyoncé is currently in the midst of her Cowboy Carter Tour and is set to perform in Houston on Saturday, June 28.
