Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is throwing shade at Tom Brady in the trailer for season 2 of Netflix's docuseries Quarterback. The trailer, which dropped on June 23, 2025, shows Goff poking fun at Brady's retirement.
In the trailer, Brady, 47, expresses his admiration for the Lions' offense, saying, "I'd love to be the quarterback of this offense. It's just so much fun." Goff, 30, responds with a sly smile, "Yeah, too bad, Tom. You're retired."
The second season of Quarterback, which premieres on Netflix on July 8, follows Goff, as well as Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow and Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons, as they navigate the NFL season.

The trailer also gives a glimpse into the personal lives of the quarterbacks. Goff shares his thoughts on his relationship with the Lions organization and its fan base, saying, "I saw the opportunity I had here was special." His wife, model Christen Harper, also appears in the show.
Burrow, 28, opens up about the longevity of his career, saying, "You know, you only have so many of these seasons. You start out your career, you're like, 'Ok I'm going to play for 15, 20 years, and it seems like a lot, then you blink your eye and you're in year 5." The trailer also addresses the burglary at Burrow's home in December.
Cousins, 36, gives viewers an inside look at his transition to Atlanta with his family. His wife says in the trailer, "It's not all on him, but it's a lot on him."
