Katy Perry is learning to navigate her new role as a single mom to her 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, following her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom.
A source close to Perry revealed to PEOPLE that the singer, 40, is "still doing great" despite never seeing herself as a single mom. "She never saw herself being a single mom," the insider said. "She's felt a lot of pressure about her tour and now this. It's been a lot for her."
Perry and Bloom welcomed Daisy on August 26, 2020, and have been engaged since 2019. However, PEOPLE confirmed their split after nine years together and six years of engagement.
Despite the challenges, Perry is focusing on her tour and spending quality time with her daughter. A source told PEOPLE, "She's happy and just focused on her tour. Her daughter is with her and they're sightseeing and having fun."
In recent weeks, Perry shared adorable photos of her and Daisy meeting Bluey and Bingo from the Australian children's television show Bluey during the Australia leg of her Lifetimes tour.
As Perry navigates this new chapter in her life, she's finding joy in motherhood. In a previous interview with Variety, she said, "It's the best. Everything that's supposed to fade away fades away, and a balance comes in."
