Miley Cyrus has finally put an end to the rumors that her gold dress in her "Flowers" music video was a nod to Jennifer Lawrence. The singer recently confirmed that the rumor is untrue while signing autographs outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The gold lamé Saint Laurent gown worn by Cyrus in her 2023 music video bears a resemblance to the gold lamé gown worn by Lawrence at the 2012 premiere of The Hunger Games. The similarity sparked rumors that the dress was a dig at Lawrence, especially amid rumors of Cyrus' ex Liam Hemsworth cheating on her with Lawrence.

However, Cyrus has now set the record straight, stating, "No, but I love that dress of hers." Lawrence had also addressed the rumors in 2023 during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, calling the rumors "not true" and a "total rumor."

Cyrus and Hemsworth's on-again-off-again relationship began in 2009 while filming The Last Song. The couple got engaged in 2012, but postponed their wedding in April 2013 and called off their engagement in September of that year.

By 2016, Hemsworth and Cyrus got back together and got engaged. The former couple tied the knot in December of 2018, but separated less than a year later in August 2019. Their divorce was finalized in February 2020.

Cyrus is currently dating musician Maxx Morando, while Hemsworth is dating actress Gabriella Brooks. Lawrence married her husband, Cooke Maroney, in 2019; they share two children.
