Get ready for a chilling adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel, as the first trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein' has finally arrived. The film, which is set to release on Netflix in November, stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, alongside Jacob Elordi as the terrifying monster.

The trailer, which premiered during the Netflix Tudum 2025 live event, gives us a glimpse into the dark and eerie world of del Toro's Frankenstein. Elordi, who replaced Andrew Garfield in the role of the monster, is seen as a towering creature brought to life by Isaac's brilliant but egotistical scientist, Dr. Frankenstein.

The film also features an impressive cast, including Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. Del Toro, known for his work on films like Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Nightmare Alley, and Pinocchio, has been working on this adaptation for over a decade and considers the 1931 Frankenstein film among his favorites of all time.

According to Netflix, the film follows Isaac's Dr. Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.

Elordi, who replaced Garfield in the role, has said that he is "very, very glad" to have taken on the part. In December, Garfield told Deadline that he was disappointed not to have done the role, but was happy to see Elordi take it on.
