Brooke Shields attended the opening night of Broadway's new play Call Me Izzy on June 12 in New York City, accompanied by her daughter Rowan Henchy. The mother-daughter duo matched in black for the event, despite Shields struggling to find something in her closet.

Shields walked the red carpet solo, wearing a casual outfit consisting of a button-up vest, blue jeans, and black studded flats. She accessorized with oversize black aviator sunglasses, multiple gold chains around her neck, and an array of gold bangles and bracelets on her wrist.

Inside the theater, Shields and Henchy posed for photos together, revealing that they coordinated outfits for the occasion. Henchy smiled alongside her mother and wore a simple black satin camisole that she accessorized with a red beaded necklace and dainty gold chain.

During the red carpet, Shields caught up with PEOPLE and revealed that her outfit for the event came as a result of having some trouble getting dressed. "I didn't have an outfit picked, so I threw this on," Shields quipped.

The casual night out comes amid Shields recently celebrating her 60th birthday and attending the 2025 Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday, June 8. Shields went more glam that night and wore a red Balmain draped minidress that hugged her figure.

Shields might not have any issue taking Henchy to the theater, but she does have an issue with giving Henchy some of the most precious items in her wardrobe. In a cover story for Only Natural Diamonds magazine published on June 5, Shields explained that her second daughter, Grier Henchy, will be the one to inherit her jewelry collection, despite being younger.
