Paris Jackson, the 27-year-old daughter of the legendary Michael Jackson, has addressed critics who are upset about her performing on June 25, the 16th anniversary of her father's death.

In an Instagram Stories post on June 13, Paris explained that she is a supporting act for Incubus' tour, and one of their tour dates falls on the anniversary of her father's 2009 death.

“You don't pick what date you perform [when you're not the headliner],” Paris told her followers. “So, I'm gonna tell 'em, 'Sorry, guys, we can't perform on this date?'” she added sarcastically, finishing with “F--- you.”

Paris also shared that she pitched herself to be a part of the tour and won't be pulling out. She mentioned that she'll be performing with just her acoustic guitar and her sound guy, who happens to be her fiancé, in a "soccer mom van" style="width: 100%; height: auto; max-width: 800px; object-fit: cover; display: block; margin: 0 auto;" src="GEOFFROY VAN DER HASSELT/AFP via Getty">

Incubus Tour Dates

Incubus announced in March that Paris and Manchester Orchestra would be joining their Morning View + The Hits tour in the U.S. and U.K. The June 25 date, scheduled for Nashville, will coincidentally mark 16 years since Michael Jackson died at the age of 50.
