Ariana Grande's mother, Joan, announced on June 17 that her grandmother, Marjorie Grande, had passed away peacefully at the age of 99.

Marjorie, who was affectionately called "Nonna," was Ariana's maternal grandmother.

In a statement, the family announced that Marjorie passed away surrounded by her loved ones.

Ariana Grande's Special Bond with Her Grandmother

Ariana Grande often spoke about her close relationship with her grandmother, who was also featured on Ariana's seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, released in March 2024.

Ariana teased her grandmother's appearance on the album when she posted the tracklist 10 days before the album's release. The last song, "ordinary things," featured Marjorie, making her the oldest artist to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 when the song hit No. 55.
