Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their engagement and broken up after nearly a decade of on-again, off-again romance. The news was confirmed by PEOPLE, with TMZ being the first to report the split.

The couple, who share 4-and-a-half-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016, where they famously fought over an In-N-Out burger. They made their relationship Instagram official in May 2016, but announced they were taking a break in February 2017. However, they remained friends and eventually rekindled their romance in 2018.

In 2019, Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine's Day, and they announced they were expecting a baby in March 2020. They welcomed their daughter in August 2020, and had been going strong until recently.

The couple had been supporting each other in their professional endeavors, with Bloom presenting Perry with her Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2024, and Perry attending the premiere of Bloom's movie The Cut during the Toronto Film Festival.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Perry opened up about navigating her personal life, including her relationship with Bloom, while on the road. She emphasized the importance of learning each other's love languages and making an effort to understand and support each other.

Despite their recent split, the couple will always have a special place in their hearts for each other, and their daughter Daisy Dove will continue to be a top priority for both of them.
