Dolly Parton, 79, has expressed her support for Jennifer Aniston-led remake of the 1980s comedy classic, 9 to 5, but has no plans to star in the film herself.

In a recent interview, Parton revealed that she and her original co-stars, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, had been trying to create a sequel for years, but it never materialized. Now, with Aniston's remake on the horizon, Parton is excited to see a new take on the story.

However, Parton believes that she and her co-stars are no longer suited for the big screen, saying, "We're all older now... We're not gonna look that good on the big screen. All of us up there with all those beautiful, young, fresh people... so I don't know."

Despite this, Parton is still keen to contribute to the film, offering to write new music or even rework her iconic song "9 to 5" for the remake. She told HuffPost, "I really would love to see the show, and I'd love to be able to write some music, be involved in that way with it."

Parton also shared that she has been friends with Aniston for years and has offered to help with the remake in any way she can. She said, "I told her, I said, 'You're more than welcome to use my song '9 to 5,' and if you need some additional songs, or if you need the '9 to 5' song rewritten or reworked, you know, to do that."

Meanwhile, Parton is also set to be involved in another reboot, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer remake, through her production company Sandollar Productions.
