Ozzy Osbourne Reveals He 'Couldn't' Collaborate with Paul McCartney Despite Wanting To

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rocker, has expressed his desire to collaborate with Paul McCartney, but unfortunately, it seems like it's not meant to be. In a recent radio broadcast, Osbourne revealed that despite his admiration for the former Beatles member, he feels as though he "couldn't" work with him.

During his SiriusXM show Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne was asked about his dream collaborator, and without hesitation, he replied, "Paul McCartney." However, he quickly added, "I would be honored, but I couldn't…"

This isn't the first time Osbourne has spoken about his affinity for McCartney and the Beatles. In a previous interview with Heat Magazine, Osbourne recalled meeting McCartney and trying to persuade him to play bass on one of his songs. McCartney politely declined, saying he couldn't improve on the existing bassline.

Despite running into McCartney on multiple occasions over the years, the collaboration never materialized. McCartney has worked with numerous artists, including Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Dominic Fike, among others.

On a more positive note, Osbourne and the rest of Black Sabbath are gearing up for their final show on July 5 in Birmingham, U.K., which will be their first live performance as a group in 20 years. The show, called the Back to the Beginning show, will mark a special moment for the band and their fans.

Osbourne expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform with his loved ones, saying, "It's my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever."
