Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird, star of Mama June: Family Crisis, is embracing a new chapter in her life following her divorce from ex-husband Josh Efird. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 25-year-old reality star shared how she's prioritizing herself for the first time.
"I don't really feel like I have to beg for the bare minimum anymore," Efird said of her new relationship with Darrin Kitchens. "It's kind of nice just because I grew up filling everybody else's cup and I kind of felt like I was always leaving myself a little empty."
Efird filed for divorce from Josh after six years of marriage in August 2024, citing a "bona fide state of separation" since July of that year. The couple shares four children: Ella, 7, Bentley, 4, and 2-year-old twins Sylus and Stella.
Efird revealed that co-parenting with Josh will be a significant shift in their dynamic, which will be showcased in season 7 of Mama June: Family Crisis. "I think you're going to obviously see us navigating the difference of we were married for 10 years and now we have to go to a co-parenting relationship," she explained.

She's also excited to show her new dynamic with Josh on the show, saying, "I think you're going to obviously see us navigating the difference of we were married for 10 years and now we have to go to a co-parenting relationship."
