The breakout star of the FX comedy series "Adults" has a number one supporter - his mom! In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jack Innanen reveals that his mom has been proudly wearing custom-made T-shirts with slogans like "Paul Baker for President" and "Paul Baker's Mom" since the show's debut in May.

Innanen, who plays the charming and aloof Paul Baker on the show, says his mom wears the custom T-shirts every time he calls her. "So, she's just wearing that around town," he adds with a laugh.

The 26-year-old actor is thrilled to have such a supportive family, and he's not the only one. His loved ones have been sending him edits of the show, which has been a fun way for him to connect with them.

Innanen's rise to fame has been rapid, with millions of fans following him on social media, especially since his breakout on "Adults". However, he's keen to keep his real personality separate from his on-screen persona, Paul Baker.

As for his future in the entertainment industry, Innanen has set his sights on rom-coms. "Comedies, but especially rom-coms, I think are so funny and a genre that I just love to watch and would love to act in," he says.

Innanen also cites Paul Rudd as an inspiration, saying "Someone whose career I love is Paul Rudd. Like, just who he plays is so fun. So anything that Paul Rudd did, I would love to do."

With the success of "Adults" and his growing fan base, Innanen is excited for what the future holds. "It's so funny because with Adults being out and the reception that we've had, I feel like I've achieved [a lot]," he says.
