The legendary singer, Barbra Streisand, is opening up about her love for her family, particularly her grandkids, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
Streisand, 83, is a grandmother to three young children: daughters Chapel Grace, 4, and Westlyn Reign, 6, from stepson Josh Brolin, and 3-year-old son Soli from stepdaughter Molly. She shared that being a grandma is a title she cherishes deeply.

"It's wonderful to have family," Streisand told PEOPLE. "And that's how The Secret of Life title came — [the secret] is several things, but one of them is family."
Streisand's new album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, is inspired by her love for her family. She recalled a recent visit from her daughter-in-law, Kathryn, who brought the children over to take some photos for the album cover.
"I had asked my daughter-in-law, who's also a photographer, to bring the children over and take some pictures with me. The kids were walking toward me, and I was standing behind a screen door, and I said, 'Oh Kathryn, take this picture right now,'" Streisand shared. "The point is, the feeling whenever they're here is just joyous. It's very, very special."

In addition to her family, Streisand is also excited about her new album, which features collaborations with Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Tim McGraw, and Mariah Carey with Ariana Grande.
The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two is available on Friday, June 27. For more on Barbra Streisand, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday, or subscribe here.
