Miley Cyrus Surprises NYC Bar with Impromptu Sing-Along and Epic Mic Drop Moment

Miley Cyrus surprised fans with an impromptu performance at a New York City bar on Monday, June 2, performing tracks from her new album and her Grammy Award-winning song "Flowers."

The pop star, 32, performed two tracks from her recently released album, Something Beautiful, as well as her Billboard Hot 100 hit "Flowers" at Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The event was made possible by FANMADE.

Miley Cyrus' Impromptu Performance

During the event, Cyrus joked that her loud vocals were reaching different floors of the building, including "the penthouse." As she wrapped up "Flowers," the Hannah Montana alum quipped, "It's time to get back to my penthouse," before throwing her microphone to the floor and strutting off, leaving behind her piano player, Mike Schmid, and guitarist, Jonathan Rado.

Cyrus released Something Beautiful, her ninth studio album, on May 30. It is set to be accompanied by a film that will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 6.

Cyrus' boyfriend Maxx Morando also worked on the project, which was described as "introspective, sonically adventurous, and emotionally grounded" in a press release.
